We all know this.
I was at the Bruins Rangers game sitting in the 4th row, right in front of the attacking blue line for the Bruins. And I can tell you because Sean Avery didn’t deviate from our are all night, that the crowd got under his skin. He was well behaved at the beginning of the game, but after we started numerous “Avery Sucks” chants, his game got increasingly chippy, concluding with a HUGE hit by Chara literally feet in front of me, and the stick slap to the back of the head of Tim Thomas.
Oops, Sean… that wasn’t Marty Broduer. What, you didn’t know? Yea, Tim Thomas doesn’t take kindly to those kinds of things. You’re lucky Sjorstrom came to your defense (which he’s likely regretting after eating a Thomas waffle) because you were about to get a good, ole fashion beat down.
And if you saw the video on Yahoo! or ESPN, the crowd would have happily cheered you on.
Sean Avery is good for hockey in one sense. It gives the home team a reason to hate your team.
